Uniting AgeWell
🚗 Help deliver more than a meal in Swan Hill.
Uniting AgeWell is welcoming volunteers to support its Meals on Wheels service in Swan Hill, helping older people remain connected, supported and independent in their own homes.
Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver meals to local residents, but the role is about much more than food. A friendly face, a quick conversation and a cheerful visit can provide valuable social connection and an important wellbeing check for older members of our community.
💚 A small amount of your time can make a real difference.
- Flexible weekday lunchtime volunteering, generally around 11:00am to 1:00pm
- Opportunities to help from around two hours a month, with more regular volunteering also welcomed
- Training, onboarding and support provided
- No previous aged-care experience needed
- Meet new people and make meaningful local connections
- Help older people remain connected with the Swan Hill community
Meals on Wheels has a proud history in Swan Hill, with local volunteers supporting older residents for more than 40 years. The service continues to rely on community members who are willing to give a little of their time to help others.
🤝 Individuals, community groups and workplace teams are encouraged to get involved.
Whether you can volunteer monthly, fortnightly or more regularly, your contribution can help deliver not only a meal, but kindness, conversation and connection.
